Eight weeks of History 7A is coming to a closing. I have learned so many specific topics that I have never learned back in my high school AP course. This was an eye opener to early History. I was a student that never really enjoyed History class, but with this class, I finally understand History through a new perspective. I understand very well through visual learning, and by taking this online class, there had been couple assignments that have the visual aspect, such as the Virtual Field Trips. Having an online class, also helped me open up with students by engaging conversations through commenting on each other's Document Interpretation discussions. There's no right or wrong answers, it's helpful that we aren't judged by our response. Looking back from the first week of setting goals, and schedules, I felt like I accomplished the majority of the goals. There are some places that I could've done for improvements, but for those times that I met my goals and standards, it's a positive impact to move forward. Eight weeks have been challenging with turning in assignments, but I eventually managed to turn in most of the assignments on time. If I had the power to rewind time, I would like to rewrite my Document Interpretations to make a stronger and effective arguments. I had a great time having this eight weeks opportunity to meet wonderful students and the professor by having good feedback. Without this, I possibly couldn't advance into writing efficiently. In the future, if any students doubt in taking an online class, I'd say "Take an online class, it'll be fun." It may not be fun in the beginning due to learning into a new environment, but eventually it'll be manageable. This has been the first time that I grasped the concept of history, and I feel accomplished to what I have grown out to compared to the first week of this class.
